Fév 2026 Metalmont in Ethiopia: Three Strategic Agreements Signed for Agricultural and Industrial Innovation
Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar, February 2026 – Metalmont’s mission in Ethiopia has successfully concluded, in the presence of our CEO Iacopo Meghini and Metalmont’s representative for East Africa, Berhanu Dilnessa, with partnership agreements that chart the course for the introduction and development of storage solutions and the reduction of post-harvest losses in the country.
Together with the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), represented by delegates of the State Minister, Metalmont has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch pilot projects aimed at reducing post-harvest losses and facilitating the import of specialized machinery for grain handling.
Meanwhile, the collaboration with Amhara Seed Enterprise (ASE) and the Amhara Regional Government focuses on supplying solutions for the modernization of existing storage facilities and the development of new automated handling systems.

On the industrial front, the agreement with the Beaeka Group paves the way for a local manufacturing partnership in Addis Ababa. The agreement provides for a feasibility study for a hub dedicated to the assembly and production of storage systems, ensuring technology transfer while respecting intellectual property rights. These concrete steps, supported by the activation of international funding channels, confirm Metalmont’s commitment to creating a sustainable agricultural ecosystem for Ethiopia.
